Top 3 Blog Posts of 2016

With only days  left in 2016 its time to look back on my second year blogging;  My readership didn’t grow as much as I would have liked.  However I received tons of encouraging feedback

and some great exposure.  This year my focus was more on family then fitness,  as I  adjusted to my new role as Mother and life with a baby.

I fell short of my 2016 goal-  minimum of 2 blog posts a month.  In retrospect that goal might have been a bit too ambitious for a new mom. 😉  But did manage to post a blog every month, and two a month for the last quarter of the year.

As we close out 2016, I am recapping my top 3 blog posts of the year.

One

A personal favorite, “Child Birth and Labour- My Experience.” which received 112 views, 1 Comment, and lots of social media support.

“The last 3 weeks have been a challenge as I learn to adjust to this new and demanding role. Everyday is different, some are harder than others, and life has a new much slower pace.  Child Birth was a powerful, life altering, and fulfilling experience that I am thankful to have had.

Two

My post baby body image blog was a favorite,  “Learning to Love my Post Baby Body.” This post  received 162 views,  and tons of traffic to my social media pages.  The social media group Vancity Mom Squad shared this post on their social media outlets, this was a huge compliment and great exposure.   Thank you for your support and feedback!

“After enduring the strain of accommodating a second human, neither myself or my body are the same……neither may go back to the way they once were……..Currently my body is pillow that cradles and rocks my son.  My body is my sons childhood home,  that deserves my respect, not disapproval and  judgment.

Three

The third post, “My First Month as a Mom  received 93 views 1 comment and lots of social media conversation.

“This past month as a new Mom has been an absolute blur. I gave birth,  I’ve cried, I’ve laughed, and I’ve been able to function with minimal sleep.  At times I have never been more happy in my entire life, and at other times I have never been more frustrated.”

Thank you for taking the time to read or comment on one of my posts, I appreciate your readership.  If this is your first visit to my page I hope you enjoyed it!  If you liked what you’ve read you can follow along by subscribing for email updates.  I anticipate many more honest and insightful posts for 2017, and hope you will continue to follow along.
