Hello, my name is Shannon.  My commitment to an active healthy lifestyle started during my adolescence, and has continued throughout my life.  I began my fitness journey as an avid fitness enthusiast, eventually hiring my own personal trainer.  It was at this time that I discovered a deep interest in the science and discipline of weight training.
I am certified with the BC Parks & Recreation Association, which regulates the Fitness Industry within BC. It is mandatory for all trainers to have current CPR and Basic First Aid Certificates.  In addtion, I am continually upgrading my education with new trends and current research in the fitness industry. Most recently expanding my skill set to include specialized training in the areas of:

  • Repetitive Stress Injuries of the Upper Extremity
  • Pregnancy & Strength Training
  • Basic Training for Running
  • Indoor Cycling
  • Group Fitness

My fitness career has progressed from a, weight trainer, to a group fitness instructor eventually adding personal trainer to my skill set.  I have taught Indoor-cycling classes in the Surrey area, and currently teach in Richmond. In 2008, I participated in the ambassador program at a local Lululemon location, and I am currently an active member of their research and development team.  In 2009 I became a fit model for Sugoi Performance Apparel© and continue to work with them.

Venus Fitness & Lifestyle Coaching’s is born from the experiences and adversities that I have faced in my life.  Fitness and weight training have helped me to uncover my personal strength, and provided me with the guidance to pursue my goals.  My vision is to help individuals build a strong foundation for fitness and healthy living, while providing the best quality service and support.

  With my desire to teach and passion to motivate, my most important success is seeing my clients achieve their personal goals.  I keep a hands-on approach by maintaining a consistent group of personal training clients, providing corporate fitness for The Great Little Box Company, and teaching indoor cycling classes

 My commitment to healthy living, a passion for sharing knowledge, and enthusiasm, is what makes me a hardworking fitness leader, an excellent coach, and positive role model.
